  • A pass in the Higher Secondary Examination from the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination from a recognized Council /Board/ University/ Institution.
  • Speed in Shorthand and Type writing @120 w.p.m. and 30 w.p.m. respectively.

Application Fee

  • General/OBC – Rs.400/-
  • SC/ST – Rs.200/-
  • Application fees can be paid through Indian Postal

The Calcutta High Court is the oldest High Court in India. It was established on 1st July, 1862 under the High Court Act, 1861. It has jurisdiction over the state of West Bengal and the Union Territory of the Anandman and Nicobar Islands. The High Court building was designed by Mr. Walter Granville, Government Architect, on the model of the Stadt-Hausa or Cloth Hall at Ypres in Belguim.
