Assam Public Service Commission - Job Details

Assam Public Service Commission (Assam PSC) is inviting application for 104 posts of Assistant Engineer (Civil). The vacancies are under Public Works Roads Department and Public Works Department. Required educational qualification and other details for informational purposes only in interest of job-seekers, are given below in brief —

1. ASSISTANT ENGINEER (CIVIL)

No. of Vacancies: 64 Nos. (New) and 156 Nos. (Old post advertised earlier) : Total 220 Nos.

Educational Qualification: i) Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University.
OR
Passed Part A and B of the Associate Membership Examination of the Institution of Engineers (India).
ii) Apart from English, the candidate should have adequate knowledge of at least 01 official language of the State of Assam (i.e. Assamese/ Bengali/ Bodo) except candidates belonging to Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council.
iii) The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.

Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 38 years.

Pay Scale: Rs.30000 — Rs.110000

 

NOTE: This recruitment notification/advertisement is continuation of earlier Advertisement No.06/2019 issued on 19 Nov 2019 by Assam Public Service Commission. Earlier the number of post was 156 nos. now as per this new notification the number of new post added is 104 nos.

The candidates who have applied earlier need not to apply again.

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC/ MOBC and 10 years for PWD category.

 

The vacancies are under Public Works Roads Department and Public Works Department.

Note: Degree/ Diploma obtained through Distance mode of education will not be acceptable.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Screening/ Written Test/ Viva-voce Interview wherever applicable.
