Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI) is inviting application for 08 posts of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) and Field Assistant. The vacancies are under the MPEDA funded project titled “Assessment of marine mammal stock and bycatch and sea turtle by-catch for their protection” at the Fishery Environment and Management Division, Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI), Kochi. CENTRAL MARINE FISHERIES RESEARCH INSTITUTE (CMFRI) IS INVITING APPLICATION FOR 08 SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (SRF) AND FIELD ASSISTANT. LAST DATE — 20/05/2020
1. SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW
No. of Vacancies: 06 Nos.
Educational Qualification: i) M.Sc. in Marine Biology/ Zoology/ Life Sciences or M.F.Sc.
ii) Should have NET qualification.
Experience: Two years of research experience.
Desirable: Should be seaworthy, participation of cruises in research vessels, experience in oceanography data collection & analysis, must be physically fit and able to swim, strong interest in conservation of marine mammals and sea turtles.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years for Men and 40 years for Women.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.31000 per month for 1st & 2nd year and Rs.35000 per month for 3rd year.
2. FIELD ASSISTANT
No. of Vacancies: 02 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Graduate degree in any discipline.
Desirable: The candidate should be seaworthy, working experience in research project, administrative tasks and data entry. Willing to participate in field activities involving marine mammals and sea turtles.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years for Men and 40 years for Women.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.18000 per month.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable as per Govt. norms.
