No. of Vacancies: 44 Nos. (Male- 31 posts (UR-14, OBC/ MOBC-06, ST(P)-05, ST(H)-03, EWS-03), Female- 13 posts (UR-06, OBC/ MOBC-03, ST(P)-02, ST(H)-01, EWS-01))
Educational Qualification Assam Assistant inspector of Excise: Minimum Higher Secondary passed from any recognized Board or Council.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 38 years as on 01/01/2020.
Pay Scale: Rs.14000 — Rs.49000
2. EXCISE CONSTABLE
No. of Vacancies: 159 Nos. (Male- 112 posts (UR-51, OBC/ MOBC-28, SC-08, ST(P)-11, ST(H)-03, EWS-11), Female- 47 posts (UR-21, OBC/ MOBC-12, SC-03, ST(P)-05, ST(H)-01, EWS-05))
Educational Qualification for Assam excise constable : Minimum HSLC Passed or its equivalent from any recognized Board or Council.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 38 years as on 01/01/2020.
Pay Scale: Rs.14000 — Rs.49000
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category.
Note:- Candidates should be ordinarily resident of Assam and should register his/ her name in any of the Employment Exchange of Assam.
The selected candidates will undergo training.
Physical Standards for Assam Police Requirement 2020:
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 162.56 cm (160.02 cm for ST(P)/ ST(H) candidates);
Chest (unexpanded) — 80 cm (78 cm for ST(H)); Chest (expanded) — 85 cm (83 cm for ST(H))
(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 154.94 cm (152.40 cm for ST(P)/ ST(H) candidates)
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Candidates’ Selection for Assam Police Requirement 2020 :
Selection of candidates will be through Physical Standard Test/ Physical Efficiency Test, Written Test and Extra-curricular activities and special skills. The Written Test will be conducted in all the District Headquarters or Range wise or at Guwahati depending upon the number of candidates.
