India Post, Gujarat Postal Circle invites online application for 144 posts of Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant, Postman/ Mail Guard and Multi Tasking Staff. The vacancies are against Sports Quota in various Divisions/ Units of Gujarat Postal Circle. Both Male and Female candidates are eligible to apply. INDIA POST, GUJARAT POSTAL CIRCLE INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR 144 POSTAL ASSISTANT/ SORTING ASSISTANT, POSTMAN/ MAIL GUARD AND MULTI TASKING STAFF. LAST DATE — 31/07/2020
1. POSTAL ASSISTANT/ SORTING ASSISTANT
No. of Vacancies: 52 Nos.
Educational Qualification: i) 10+2 Standard or 12th class pass from a recognized University/ Board.
ii) Certificate of Basic Computer Training from a recognized Computer
training Institute or from Central Govt./ State Govt./ University/
Boards etc. will also be acceptable. This requirement of Basic Computer
Knowledge Certificate is relaxable in cases where a candidate has
studied Computer as a subject in Matriculation or Class XII or Higher
educational qualification.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 27 years as on 31/07/2020.
Pay Scale: Rs.25500 — Rs.81100
2. POSTMAN/ MAIL GUARD
No. of Vacancies: 47 Nos.
Educational Qualification: i) 12th Standard pass from a recognized Board.
ii) Knowledge of local language (i.e., Gujarati). The candidate should
have studied local language (i.e., Gujarati) at least upto 10th
standard.
iii) Certificate of Basic Computer Training from a recognized Computer
training Institute or from Central Govt./ State Govt./ University/
Boards etc. will also be acceptable. This requirement of Basic Computer
Knowledge Certificate is relaxable in cases where a candidate has
studied Computer as a subject in Matriculation or Class XII or Higher
educational qualification.
iv) Candidate should have a valid license of two wheeler or light motor
vehicle. Persons with Disability are exempted from the possession of
license.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 27 years as on 31/07/2020.
Pay Scale: Rs.21700 — Rs.69100
3. MULTI TASKING STAFF
No. of Vacancies: 45 Nos.
Educational Qualification: i) 10th Standard pass from a recognized Board.
ii) Knowledge of local language (i.e., Gujarati). The candidate should
have studied local language (i.e., Gujarati) at least upto 10th
standard.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 31/07/2020.
Pay Scale: Rs.18000 — Rs.56900
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years for SC/ST and 05 years for others. For Government Servants as per norms.
The vacancies are against Sports Quota in various Divisions/ Units of Gujarat Postal Circle. Both Male and Female candidates are eligible to appy.

x) Wrestling: 08 posts (Men)
xi) Chess: 05 posts (Men)
xii) Carom: 04 posts (Men-02, Women-02)
xiii) Football: 18 posts (Men)
xiv) Hockey: 16 posts (Men)
xv) Swimming: 02 posts (Men-01, Women-01)
Only Meritorious Sportsperson who have represented or won medal (s)
in the level of competition mentioned below are eligible to apply:-
i) International Competition
ii) National Competition
iii) Inter-University Tournaments
iv) National/ Sports/ Games for Schools
v) Physical Efficiency Drive.

The selected candidates will be on Probation for two (02) years.
