West Bengal Municipal Service Commission (WBMSC) invites online application for 201 posts of Teacher (English/ Hindi/ Urdu). The vacancies are under Kolkata Municipal Corporation. Both Men and Women candidates are eligible to apply. 1. TEACHER (ENGLISH)

No. of Vacancies: 149 Nos. (UR-68, UR (MSP)-03, UR (ESM)-05, UR (PWD)-05, SC-31, SC (ESM)-02, ST-09, OBC-A-15, OBC-B-11)

Educational Qualification:

i) Higher Secondary pass under the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 02 years Diploma in Elementary Education duly approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

OR

ii) Higher Secondary pass under the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 04 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR

iii) Higher Secondary pass under the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 02 years Diploma in Education (Special Education).

OR

iv) Graduation and 02 years Diploma in Elementary Education by whatever name known.

v) A candidate should have English as First Language all along till Higher Secondary or its equivalent or Honours in English or MA in English.

vi) The candidate must be a Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) qualified (State/ Central) only.

Note: All candidates must have studied and obtained Madhyamik (Secondary) pass certificate or equivalent with Mathematics and English as subject.

Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 40 years as on 01/01/2020.

 

2. TEACHER (HINDI)

No. of Vacancies: 19 Nos. (UR (MSP)-01, UR (ESM)-01, SC-07, ST-03, OBC-A-02, OBC-B-05)

Educational Qualification: i) Higher Secondary pass under the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 02 years Diploma in Elementary Education duly approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

ii) Higher Secondary pass under the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 04 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
iii) Higher Secondary pass under the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 02 years Diploma in Education (Special Education).

iv) Graduation and 02 years Diploma in Elementary Education by whatever name known.

v) The candidate must be a Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) qualified (State/ Central) only.

Note:- i) Any candidate seeking appointment for the post of Primary School Teacher should have studied and pass in the specific language as the first or second language in the Higher Secondary level or equivalent for which medium of instruction, the candidate is seeking appointment.

ii) All candidates must have studied and obtained Madhyamik (Secondary) pass certificate or equivalent with Mathematics and English as subject.

Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 40 years as on 01/01/2020.

 

3. TEACHER (URDU)

No. of Vacancies:

         33 Nos. (Male- 25 posts (SC-12, ST-04, OBC-A-02, OBC-B-05, UR (ESM)-01, UR (MSP)-01), Female- 08 posts (SC-05, OBC-A-01, ST-01, UR (PH)-01))

Educational Qualification:

i) Higher Secondary pass under the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 02 years Diploma in Elementary Education duly approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

Upper Age Relaxation:
