India Post, North East Circle invites online application for 948 posts of Gramin Dak Sevak (Branch Post Master/ Assistant Branch Post Master/ Dak Sevak).  

GRAMIN DAK SEVAK (BRANCH POST MASTER/ ASSISTANT BRANCH POST MASTER/ DAK SEVAK)

No. of Vacancies: 948 Nos. (UR- 360, ST- 349, SC- 100, PWD- 12, OBC- 35, EWS- 92)

 

Educational Qualification: i) Secondary School Examination pass certificate of 10th standard with passing marks in Mathematics, local language and English (having been studied as compulsory or elective subjects) from any recognized Board.
ii) Compulsory knowledge of Local Language- The candidate should have studied the local language at least up to 10th standard (as compulsory or elective subjects).
iii) The candidates will be required to furnish Basic Computer Training Course Certificate of at least 60 days duration from any recognized Computer Training Institute/ Universities/ Boards/ Private Institutions Organizations. This requirement of basic computer knowledge certificate will be relaxable in cases where a candidate has studied computer as a subject in Matriculation or class XII or any other higher educational level.
iv) Knowledge of Cycling is a pre-requisite condition for all GDS posts. In case of a candidate having knowledge of riding a scooter or motor cycle, that may be considered as knowledge of cycling.

 

Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 40 years as on 12/11/2020.

 

Pay Scale: Rs.12000 — Rs.14500 for Branch Post Master/ Rs.10000 — Rs.12000 for Assistant Branch Post Master and Dak Sevak.

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection will be done on Merit basis based on the marks obtained in 10th standard. No weightage will be given for higher educational qualification.
