CBSE Class 12 board exams 2021 cancelled: Highlights from PM Modi's meeting




Will there be CBSE 12th board exams or not? 


 Students will have to wait a little longer to get the answer.  At the moment, the central government wants to wait for the court's decision regarding the CBSE Intermediate Board examinations.  The third hearing on the petition seeking cancellation of class 12th board exam (CBSE 12th Board exam cancellation) will now be held on June 03.  After which, the government can hear its decision on board examinations.  On the other hand, Union Education Minister Dr.  Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' has been admitted to AIIMS Hospital today due to corona virus (COVID19) related problem.

 7.50: What the PM said
 On the decision to cancel the CBSE 12th exam, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that 'the health and safety of the students is the first priority, from which no compromise can be made.  The tense situation that has arisen among students, parents and teachers regarding exams should be eliminated.  All partners should show sensitivity in this matter.

 7.10 pm: Will decide in court like last time

 Regarding PM Modi's meeting on CBSE Class 12 board exam, the official said that like last year, we will announce our decision in court.  The case is currently pending in the Supreme Court.

 6.40 pm: The Center has to reply to the Supreme Court regarding the 12th board examination.  This meeting has discussed the options of the exam, the decision to cancel it or not.  It is being informed that the Central Government and CBSE have reached a final decision in this regard.

 Regarding the CBSE board exams, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi suggested that the exams can also be conducted at home through open book exams.  He has shared on Twitter a summary copy of many suggestions received from students, parents and teachers regarding CBSE exams.

 Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has again demanded the Center to cancel the 12th board exams.  He said on Twitter that without vaccination, there should be no 12th board exam.

 The final decision on the 12th class board examination is expected to come in an important meeting to be held today under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.  In which the exams are being canceled or not and if the exams will be held then how?  These issues are considered to be clear.

 3.15pm: PM Modi's meeting regarding board exam today
 Students waiting for the 12th board exam update may get the necessary information soon.  Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to preside over an important meeting regarding the 12th board exams this evening.  In this meeting, all the states and others are expected to be informed about the necessary options related to the board result.

 2.50pm: Union Education Minister admitted to AIIMS, wishing students a speedy recovery

 Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal is admitted to AIIMS Hospital in New Delhi today due to a problem related to Kovid-19.  He is being wished a speedy recovery on social media.  Students and parents across the country are wishing him a speedy recovery.

 2.20 pm: Be optimistic, there may be some solution - Supreme Court
 In the Supreme Court, during the first hearing on the 12th class board exam cancellation petition, a bench of Justice AM Khanwilkar and Justice Dinesh Maheshwari had told the petitioner, "Be optimistic. There may be some solution."

 2.02pm: How to get result without exam?
 The petition filed by Advocate Mamta Sharma seeks directions to the Center to cancel the CBSE and CICSE Class 12 examinations.  In the petition, the advocate has requested the court to direct the officers conducting the National Exam to declare the results of class 12 on the basis of objective methodology within the specified time frame.

 1.40 pm: Supreme Court advises Center- can use last year's policy
 In the last hearing on the petition to cancel the 12th exam, the Supreme Court had advised the Center to adopt last year's policy for the 12th exam.  If the Center is reluctant to take the policy, they have to give reasons to the court and the court will further investigate.

 01.15pm: Datesheet for CBSE Exam
 CBSE has not released the date sheet of 12th exam.  The Board is expected to issue a date sheet on the basis of the announcement of the Minister of Education regarding the conduct of Class 12 Board Examinations.  The government will also decide whether an examination will be held amid the epidemic situation.

 01.00pm: Board exam new information not today, wait this date
 The decision of CBSE Class 12th Examination 2021 is not likely to be announced by the Central Government on June 1, 2021.  The Ministry of Education can make an announcement only after the decision of the court.  The next hearing regarding cancellation of Class 12 examination will be on June 3, 2021.

 12.40pm: Experts claim - examination is difficult
 On the one hand, a decision is awaited on the 12th board exams, while on the other hand, some experts believe that, in view of Kovid-19, it is difficult to conduct board exams at this time.  Some believe that, due to the third wave of corona, the mental and physical effects of the exam on the students may be more, so it is not possible to conduct the board exam at such a time.

 12.20pm: CBSE- Exams can be held in July-August, these suggestions of CISCE
 The CBSE suggested that the government may conduct the examination between July 15 and August 26.  The second National Board or CISCE has asked schools to collect data on students' performance in previous examinations, pre-board and scores for the last three years.  Schools have been asked to submit it by June 7.

 12.00pm: CBSE Board Exam 2021: Three important center options
 After much deliberation in the wake of Corona, the central government had three options for CBSE board exams.
 Option A: Conducting exams for major subjects only.
 option B: Conducting the exam on a new format with short answer type questions.
 option C: Evaluating students based on their performance in the last three academic years.

 11.48: Supreme Court seeks reply from Center, CBSE and ICSE
 The Supreme Court (SC) asked the Center, CBSE, ICSE to give good reasons if they decide to conduct the examination or will the board examination be canceled?  Reports suggest both are expected.

 11.35 am: Union Education Minister can make urgent announcement
 Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' is expected to announce the government's final decision on conducting Class 12 board exams amid the ongoing COVID-19 epidemic.

 11.26 am: Decision on CBSE and ICSE board exams soon
 In the hearing held on May 31, the central government has asked the court for two days.  The Center can now take an urgent decision on conducting CBSE and ICSE board exams soon.
