NEET (UG) 2021 will be conducted on 12 September 2021 in 198 exam cities across the country following the COVID-19 protocol.  The application process will start from July 13 at 5 PM through NTA website neet.nta.nic.in.  NEET 2021 (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) will be conducted in offline mode in 11 languages ​​for over 15 lakh students at examination centers across the country to be set up by NTA.  This time the number will be increased as compared to 3862 exam centers in 2020.

Through NEET UG Exam 2021, admission is available for 83,075 MBBS, 26,949 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH and 525 Veterinary seats. Admission to 1899 AIIMS MBBS and 249 JIPMER MBBS seats will also be available through NEET 2021 exam. NEET answer key will be released by NTA after the exam is over. Candidates who qualify NEET 2021 cutoff will be successful in the entrance exam. 



Candidates shortlisted by the Medical Counseling Committee on the basis of NEET rank will be called for NEET 2021 counseling against 15% All India Quota, Deemed/Central University, ESIC/AFMS Institutes, AIIMS and JIPMER seats. For the remaining 85% seats and private university seats, counseling will be conducted by the respective State Counseling Committees.  July 12, 2021: NEET 2021 application process will start from July 13, NEET 2021 will be conducted on September 12.

 July 7, 2021: NTA has issued a notice regarding a fake notification of NEET 2021 exam date circulating on the internet.  What is NEET?

 It is mandatory for candidates wishing to appear in NEET 2021 exam to fulfill all the prescribed eligibility conditions attached to it. NEET eligibility includes nationality, age of the candidate, category and educational eligibility, subjects studied in the qualifying exam, etc. NEET 2021 Eligibility Criteria is explained below in detail point wise.

 Minimum Age Limit – Candidates age should be at least 17 years as on 31st December 2021.

 Maximum Age Limit - The decision on the upper age limit is still pending in the Supreme Court. There is no upper age limit till the Supreme Court passes its decision on it.

 Nationality- Indian Citizen, Non Resident Indian (NRI), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), People of Indian Origin (PIO), Foreign Citizen are eligible for NEET 2021.

 Qualifying Examination - Candidates who have passed or appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examination are eligible to appear in NEET UG 2021.

 Subjects studied- Candidates should have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English.

 Minimum Marks Required in the Qualifying Examination-Candidates must have passed 10+2 with 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The minimum marks required for SC, ST, OBC-NCL category candidates is 40%.

 Many NEET aspirants appear for the NEET exam after dropping a year in the midst of their preparation, some while pursuing their degree and some while pursuing 10+2 with open schooling.  Expect to get more than 15 lakh registrations in NEET 2021.  NEET 2020 had seen an increase of 5.13% as compared to its total number of registered candidates last year.  Of the 15.97 lakh candidates who had registered for the NEET exam last year, 13.66 lakh appeared in the exam.

 Nationality wise NEET registration statistics: Of the total 15.93 lakh students who registered for NEET exam last year, majority were Indians.  In addition, 1869 NRI students had registered for NEET, besides 878 foreigners, 732 Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), and 49 Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs).

 Gender-Wise NEET Registration: Last year 8.8 lakh female and 7.16 lakh male candidates had registered for the NEET exam.  This trend is expected to continue in NEET 2021 as well.

 Language-Wise NEET Registration: Apart from Hindi and English, NEET exam is also conducted in 9 regional languages.  In 2020, 12.63 lakh candidates were registered to appear for NEET in English language and 2.04 lakh for appearing in Hindi language.  Whereas a total of 1.29 lakh candidates had applied to take the NEET exam in regional languages.
