World Health Organization (WHO) has recently released the World Malaria Report (WMR) 2021.
This report provides comprehensive updates on statistics and trends related to malaria at the global and regional level, including information on prevention, diagnosis, treatment, eradication and monitoring of the disease.
In this report, the WHO has said that 'global efforts to combat malaria suffered due to the coronavirus disease in 2020.
This report further warns that, if appropriate action is not taken, there could be a rapid re-spread of malaria around the world, especially in Africa.
