3) World Lymphoma Awareness Day (WLAD) is observed every year on September 15 to spread awareness of lymphoma, an increasingly common form of cancer.


4) Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) has collaborated with the Indian Army for implementing a CSR project to coach and mentor less-privileged girl students in Kargil.
➨The project "Kargil Ignited Minds" aims to prepare 50 girl students for various national-level engineering and medical entrance examinations.

15) Senior diplomat Sibi George has been appointed as the next Indian ambassador to Japan.
➨George, a 1993-batch Indian Foreign Service officer, is currently the Ambassador of India to Kuwait. He will replace Sanjay Kumar Verma as India’s envoy to Japan.

16) Engineer's Day is observed every year in India on 15 September.
➨The day is dedicated to all engineers and commemorates the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Mokshagundam Vishweshvaraya, the first civil engineer of India.
