1) Union Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya launched National Lists of Essential Medicines (NLEM) 2022.
➨384 drugs have been included in this list with the addition of 34 drugs, while 26 from the previous list have been dropped.

3) World Lymphoma Awareness Day (WLAD) is observed every year on September 15 to spread awareness of lymphoma, an increasingly common form of cancer.

4) Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) has collaborated with the Indian Army for implementing a CSR project to coach and mentor less-privileged girl students in Kargil.
➨The project "Kargil Ignited Minds" aims to prepare 50 girl students for various national-level engineering and medical entrance examinations.

5) President Droupadi Murmu, on the recommendation of the central government, nominated Gulam Ali, a Gurjar Muslim from Jammu and Kashmir, to Rajya Sabha.

6) The sixth edition of Japan-India Maritime Exercise 2022 (JIMEX 22) hosted by the Indian Navy began in the Bay of Bengal.

➨ The 28-year-old Vinesh had also won a bronze in the 2019 edition in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan.

12) Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd (MDL), which is under the defence ministry, launched Taragiri, the third stealth frigate of Project 17A.

15) Senior diplomat Sibi George has been appointed as the next Indian ambassador to Japan.
➨George, a 1993-batch Indian Foreign Service officer, is currently the Ambassador of India to Kuwait. He will replace Sanjay Kumar Verma as India’s envoy to Japan.

16) Engineer's Day is observed every year in India on 15 September.
➨The day is dedicated to all engineers and commemorates the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Mokshagundam Vishweshvaraya, the first civil engineer of India.
