1) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has launched ‘Visit Andhra Pradesh 2023 Campaign’ in Amravati.

2) Lt Gen (retd) Anil Chauhan has been named as the new CDS (Chief of Defence Staff). He will succeed General Bipin Rawat, who died in December last year.
➨Chauhan served as GOC-in-charge of Eastern Command from 2019 to 2021. He retired in May 2021.
➨He will also function as Secretary to the Government of India, Department of Military Affairs

3) BCCI president and former Indian cricket team captain Sourabh Ganguly unveiled the logo of Kerala's state-level campaign “No to Drugs".

7) The Chandigarh airport has been renamed Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport as a tribute to the freedom fighter on the occasion of his 115th birth anniversary.

8) DRDO conducted two successful test flight of Very Short Range Air Defence System (VSHORADS) missile from a ground based portable launcher at the Integrated Test Range, Chandipur, off the coast of Odisha.

9) Senior bureaucrat Rajendra Kumar has been appointed the director general of the Employees' State Insurance Corporation.

10) Uttarakhand has received the first prize in two categories.
➨ First for the best adventure tourism destination and second for all-around development of tourism at the National Tourism Award 2018-19 of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.

11) The Union Ministry of state for rural development and steel launched a dedicated JALDOOT App and its e-brochure which aims to centralise the data on groundwater levels across the country.

12) Senior advocate R Venkataramani has been appointed as the new Attorney General of India for a period of three years.
➨ He will succeed KK Venugopal after the latter's term ends on September 30.
➨Attorney General of India is appointed by the President of India under Article 76(1) of the Constitution.
