CRPF Head Constable 2023
Exam Pattern
The CRPF
will select 1315 male and female Head Constables through the Limited
Departmental Competitive Exam (LDCE). This means that the recruitment is
temporary but will be made permanent per the guidelines of the Union
Government. Here is the overview of the exam pattern followed by the CRPF -

CRPF HC/ ASI Stenographer Skill Test- Typing
The candidates who qualify in Computer-based Test shall be
called for next stage of recruitment i.e. Skill Test/ Physical Standard Test/
Document Verification/ Detailed Medical Examination which will be conducted at
various centers of the CRPF.
- The candidates will have to do dictation for 10
minutes of 8O words per minute.
- The candidates will have a transcription time of
50 minutes in English or 65 minutes in Hindi on the computer.
- The candidate who makes beyond 40 mistakes, which
is 5% of 8OO words in 10 minutes of dictation of 8O words per minute, will
be declared "Failed' in the Skill Test.
Physical Standard Test
The Physical Standard Test will not carry any marks but
will be of a qualifying/elimination nature.

Document Verification
The candidates who qualify for the CBT and Skill Test will
be called for the Document Verification Round. The candidates will have to
submit all the original & necessary documents to be eligible for the next
round of the CRPF ASI recruitment process.
