West Bengal Police Lady Constable Selection Process

Candidates who have applied for the post of WBP Lady Constable will be undergoing the following selection process which will be conducted by West Bengal Police Recruitment Board (WBPRB).

• Preliminary Written Test (Screening Test)

WB Police Lady Constable Prelims Exam Pattern 2023

• Type of Questions – MCQ based preliminary written test
• Number of Questions – 100 objective type questions
• Marking Scheme – Each Question carries 01 (one) mark each. There will be NEGATIVE marking for each incorrect answer. 1⁄4th of the allotted marks for a particular question will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
• Time Duration – The duration of this test will be 1 (one) hour.
• The question paper will be set in two languages (Bengali & Nepali).

The physical standards (height and weight) of the candidates are given in the below table and they will be tested by using Electronic Machines for those who qualify in the Preliminary Written Test.

WB Police Lady Constable Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Note:

• Timing of an individual runner shall be taken with the help of Radio Frequency Identification Device (RFID) technology. Only one chance will be given for Physical Efficiency Test. The venues for PMT & PET will be decided by the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board, in due course.
• PMT & PET are qualifying in nature.

• Total Number of Questions – 85 Multiple Choice (Four choices) Objective Type Questions (MCQs)
• Marking Scheme – Each question carries 1 mark, There will be NEGATIVE marking for each incorrect answer. 1⁄4th of the allotted marks for a particular question will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
• Time Duration – 1 hour

WBP Lady Constable Interview Process

• An interview will be conducted for 15 marks. A limited number of candidates will be called for Interview in accordance with merit. In the Interview, the general awareness and suitability of the candidate for public service will be tested. Candidate’s ability to speak, read and write in Bengali/ Nepali (for the permanent residents of Hill Subdivisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong Districts) will also be tested in her Interview.
• On the basis of the marks obtained in the Final Written Examination and the Interview, a merit list of the provisionally selected candidates will be prepared by the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board.
