West Bengal Police SI department will soon release (expected in March) the number of vacancies for different posts on its official website. Different categories with their no. of vacancies will provide below after the notification-
Eligibility Criteria for WB Police SI Recruitment 2023
To become eligible for the WB police SI Jobs candidates have to be eligible for the posts by qualifying these criteria-
Education Qualifications for
Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized University or its equivalent on or before January 2023.
Nationality
Candidates must be Indian citizens and have a Domicile of WB state.
Age Limit
Candidates must have ages between 20 years and below 27 years on 1st January 2023 to become eligible for the WB Police SI Jobs.
There would be some relaxation for the upper age limit for the reserved category candidates-
- WB police department Candidates: 8 years
- WB Police department OBC Candidates: 11 years
- WB Police department SC/ST Candidates: 13 years
- OBC: 3 years
- SC/ST: 5 years
Language
- Candidates must be able to speak, understand and write the Bengali language (except for the permanent residents of hill subdivisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong Districts.
- Physically handicapped students are not able to apply for these vacancies.
