WBPSC Food SI Admit Card 2024 Out Today, Check Download Link

The West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) will conduct the WB Food Sub Inspector (SI) exam on March 16th and 17th, 2024. The examination will fill 480 vacancies for the position of Sub Inspector in the Subordinate Food & Supplies Service.

The process of application began on 23 August 2023 and concluded on 20 September 2023, during which candidates had the opportunity to submit their applications online through the official WBPSC website.

The WB Food SI Admit Card 2024 is expected to be released at least 10 days before the exam scheduled in March 2024.

Food SI Selection Process

Written Examination: This is the initial screening phase. Candidates must score above a certain cut-off to qualify for the next stage. High performance in this exam is important as it forms the basis for shortlisting candidates and high weightage in the final merit list.

Interview: The interview is conducted to evaluate the candidate’s personality, communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and overall suitability for the role of a Food Sub Inspector. Candidates should be well-prepared, have a good understanding of the department they are applying to and current affairs, and have a clear thought process to answer situational and problem-solving questions.

Exam Scheme & Paper Pattern

• The exam consists of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
• There are 100 questions divided between the two sections: General Studies and Arithmetic.
• Each question carries 1 mark, making the total marks for the exam 100.
• Candidates have 90 minutes (1 hour and 30 minutes) to complete the exam
• There is a negative marking scheme in place. For every incorrect answer, 1/3rd of a mark is deducted.
