| Assistant Teachers for Upper Primary Level of Classes in Schools | (a) He/she must possess the minimum qualification, as prescribed by the NCTE for Assistant Teachers for Upper Primary Level of classes on or before the date of the application. (c) Pass in Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), to be conducted by the appropriate State Government in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose. |
- Relaxation of 5% marks in educational qualification will be allowed in case of reserved candidates.
- The minimum qualification as prescribed by NCTE should have been acquired as on or before the last date of application i.e. 14th July, 2025.
Age Limit Criteria
- Minimum 21 years and maximum 40 years as on 1st January 2025. The Upper age limit is, however, relaxable by 5 years for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe candidates, 3 years for Other Backward Classes candidates and 8 years for the Physically Handicapped Candidates

Selection to the post of Assistant Teacher for Classes IX & X shall be made on the basis of marks obtained in
written examination, educational qualification, prior teaching experience, oral interview and lecture demonstration, determined by the WBSSC, in the following manner:
