3) An Indian scientist has been chosen to join the prestigious European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) Young Investigator network, recognising her as one of the top talents in biology in Europe.

Dr Mahima Swamy, who hails from Bengaluru, is one of the University of Dundee's most revered experts within their School of Life Sciences.




4) Ministry of Rural Development launched "Prajjwala Challenge" inviting ideas, solutions and actions to transform rural economy.
➨ It is one of the platforms where ideas are invited from individuals, Social Enterprises, Start up, Private Sector and Community Based Organization.

5) Eminent Rabindra Sangeet exponent Sumitra Sen passed away at the age of 89.
➨The West Bengal government had awarded her 'Sangeet Mahasamman' in 2012.



6) Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) has won key recognition in Wharton-QS Reimagine Education Awards, referred to as 'the Oscars of Education'.

7) The Centre Government launched a new integrated food security scheme.

➨ The new Scheme would provide free food grains to 81.35 crore beneficiaries under NFSA, for the year 2023 and aims to ensure effective and uniform implementation of the National Food Security Act (NFSA).



8) Air Marshal Pankaj Mohan Sinha assumed command of the Indian Air Force’s Western Air Command.
➨ The Air Marshal is a graduate of the National Defence Academy, Pune, and was commissioned into the IAF as a fighter pilot in Jun 1985.
